Become a Part of Our Team as a Finance Systems Lead
We are on the lookout for a Finance Systems Lead who will drive the daily operations, upkeep, and ongoing enhancements of our Microsoft-based finance systems environment. This position is perfect for a seasoned analyst or an aspiring manager who thrives in a proactive role and is equipped to lead a small team in delivering routine support and implementing automation advancements. Our emphasis is on execution, reliability, and continuous improvement, making this opportunity ideal for someone eager to embrace a leadership role with operational responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Ensure the dependability and effectiveness of financial systems including Dynamics 365, Power BI, Power Query, and Power Automate.
- Manage user access, system permissions, and auditing controls across various platforms.
- Lead a team of analysts to address challenges, maintain system availability, and execute enhancement projects.
- Work collaboratively with internal IT teams and external vendors to promptly resolve system incidents and oversee upgrades.
- Promote process optimizations and lead low-code/no-code automation initiatives using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Develop and revise standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key finance systems and workflows.
- Support the integration and functionality of payment platforms by collaborating with both internal and external partners.
Requirements
Your Profile:
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated solid experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power BI, and a comprehensive set of tools within the Microsoft Office suite as well as the Power Platform tools, showcasing your ability to efficiently utilize these technologies to drive business outcomes.
- Exposure to finance processes and workflows is highly preferred, as it ensures a deeper understanding of the financial landscape that our organization operates within, allowing for more informed decision-making and process improvements.
- Proven experience in leading or mentoring junior team members, demonstrating your ability to guide and develop talent within the organization, which is essential for fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Having programming knowledge, particularly in languages such as Python, would be considered a valuable advantage, paving the way for innovative problem-solving and development initiatives within our projects.
- Exemplary strong troubleshooting skills combined with outstanding stakeholder communication abilities are crucial in this role, as they enable you to effectively address and resolve issues while maintaining transparent and constructive relationships with all involved parties.
Location
We are ideally seeking exceptional candidates who are based in Cape Town, as this allows for ease of collaboration and engagement within our team. Candidates must be able to commit to commuting to the office at least 2 days a week to maintain connectivity with colleagues and the work environment.
