The Senior Project Document Controller is responsible for managing, organizing, and maintaining all project-related documents in accordance with internal standards and client requirements. This role ensures accurate document control processes across all project phases, enabling efficient access, retrieval, and archiving of key project documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement document control procedures, workflows, and standards for the project.
- Manage document registers, version control, and distribution matrices across multiple stakeholders.
- Ensure timely collection, filing, and retrieval of technical drawings, reports, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.
- Liaise with project teams, consultants, and clients to ensure documentation compliance and accuracy.
- Maintain electronic document management systems (EDMS) and ensure data integrity and backup protocols.
- Support audits, reviews, and handover processes by providing complete, well-organized document packages.
- Train junior staff and support continuous improvement in document control practices.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Diploma that focus on documentation and records management (NQF 6)

8+ years practical experience in in project management or construction
