Job Description: Laundry Technician– Contract
Location: 4 Bree Street, Cape Town City Centre
Salary: R28.85 per Hour CTC (Overtime, Sundays and Public Holidays Compensated for)
Hours: Monday to Sunday availability required (Worked based on shifts)

Your Role
You will be trained and trusted to carry out every stage of the laundry lifecycle with excellence. From intake to packaging, you will ensure garments are handled with care, cycles are correctly selected, and every fold and finish is executed to perfection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort, assess, and prepare laundry according to fabric, colour, and treatment requirements
- Operate commercial and industrial washing and drying equipment with attention to proper load balance, cycle selection and detergent and chemical usage.
- Dose detergents, boosters, and softeners correctly (training provided)
- Fold, press, steam, and package items to precise presentation standards
- Conduct final quality checks before dispatch
- Maintain cleanliness of your work area and uphold hygiene standards
- Assist clients at drop-off or collection desk
- Collaborate respectfully with team members under pressure

- Prior experience in laundry, hotel housekeeping, or garment care environments
- Ability to fold garments quickly and precisely, with uniformity
- Excellent time management, communication, and attention to detail
- Physical stamina – this job requires standing, lifting, and fast-paced movement
- A professional appearance, fresh hygiene, and a well-groomed look
- A willingness to take feedback and continuously improve
