About the Job:
Our client, a fast-growing beauty and cosmetics brand, is seeking a Senior Email Marketing Manager with deep expertise in Klaviyo to lead and optimize their entire retention marketing ecosystem. In this strategic yet hands-on role, you will be the go-to authority for designing sophisticated automation flows, segmentation strategies, and personalized content systems that drive significant revenue growth. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the customer lifecycle experience and implementing advanced analytics to maximize CLV and repeat purchases. As the team scales, this role will also have opportunities to mentor junior marketers and grow into a leadership position overseeing retention strategy.
Requirements:
Core Responsibilities
- Architect and execute complex automation flows that increase customer lifetime value across multiple touchpoints
- Build advanced segmentation strategies using behavioral data, purchase patterns, RFM analysis, and predictive analytics
- Create dynamic content systems to deliver personalized experiences at scale
- Develop and execute win-back campaigns, VIP programs, and loyalty-driven sequences
- Implement cross-sell and up-sell strategies using intelligent product recommendations
- Optimize deliverability, sender reputation, and inbox placement through best practices
- Manage integrations between Klaviyo and other marketing tools/platforms
- Conduct deep analytics, including cohort analysis, revenue attribution, and incrementality measurement
- Create custom dashboards and KPI tracking systems for retention metrics
- Continuously A/B test campaigns to improve open rates, click rates, and revenue impact
- 5+ years of email marketing experience, with 3+ years as a Klaviyo power user
- Proven expert-level Klaviyo knowledge, including predictive analytics, dynamic content, and API integrations
- Track record of $500K+ email-attributed revenue growth through retention marketing
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets
- Deep understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and retention psychology
- Experience managing 6-figure+ email marketing budgets and high-volume sending
- Strategic thinking and ability to develop comprehensive retention roadmaps
- Technical proficiency with integrations, APIs, and advanced platform features
- Expert-level segmentation skills using behavioral data and predictive modeling
- Ability to work 8 AM – 5 PM PST, Monday–Friday
- Experience in beauty/cosmetics email marketing
- Familiarity with multi-channel retention campaigns
- Knowledge of email deliverability optimization and sender reputation management
- Ability to mentor and train team members on Klaviyo best practices
- Interest in mentoring and leading marketing team members as the company grows
