Rugani Juice is looking for an Accounts Clerk to join our growing Finance Team. We are looking for someone who is solutions-driven and takes initiative to resolve issues, thrives in a structured yet fast-paced environment, communicates clearly and confidently and has a genuine interest in understanding the bigger picture of the business. The successful candidate must have 2-3 years debtors and creditors experience. This job will be onsite at our offices in Tarlton Johannesburg.
Minimum Requirements
- 2–3 years of strong Debtors experience
- Experience with customer account reconciliations (preferably retail)
- Proven experience in Creditors reconciliations
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
- Deadline-driven and able to work under pressure
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and relevant accounting software (e.g., Sage, Pastel, or similar)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
- Perform reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts
- Process and review journals
- Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts
- Assist in month-end closing processes and reporting
- Support credit assessments for new customers
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies or account-related queries efficiently
- Continuously identify areas for process improvement within the finance function
