About Molo Mhlaba

Established in 2018, Molo Mhlaba Schools is a vibrant and exceptional, independent Montessori school, currently serving 189 girls aged 3 - 14 years. Molo Mhlaba Schools, is a non-profit organisation that supports young girls with STEAM (science, technology, engineering, the arts and maths) education, early literacy development, physical health education and outreach programmes for children in the Khayelitsha community. The Molo Mhlaba Schools is a philanthropic venture that will establish and manage a network of low fee, independent private schools in underserved urban communities across South Africa.

Molo Mhlaba Schools is seeking a qualified individual to manage our aftercare programme for children aged 5 to 13. The programme runs on:

● Monday–Thursday: 16:00–18:00

● Friday: 14:00–16:00

Objectives

● Provide a safe, stimulating, and joyful space for children after school.

● Engage children in interactive, age-appropriate activities such as games, creative arts, storytelling, dance, mindfulness, and STEM-related fun.

● Foster positive social-emotional development.

Requirements

● Minimum requirement is a Matric certificate or equivalent.

● Ability to deliver high-quality programming tailored to different age groups.

● Submission of Form 29 & 30 and police clearances.

● Submission of all relevant safeguarding policies.

● Outline of your Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) approach.

● Strong track record of working with children in similar contexts.

Deliverables

● Weekly programme schedules.

● Monthly attendance reports.

● Termly reports on children’s engagement, challenges, and recommendations.

● Daily implementation of planned activities

● Punctuality and consistency of staff

● Child safety and well-being

● Monthly feedback reports
