About the Role
We’re looking for a patient, enthusiastic, and reliable individual to assist primary school children with their homework during aftercare hours. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with young minds, values structure, and brings a calm, encouraging presence to the classroom.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one and small group homework support in subjects like Maths, English, and Afrikaans
- Create a positive and focused learning environment
- Communicate with parents and staff about children’s progress and challenges
- Encourage good study habits and celebrate small victories
- Assist with light supervision and occasional activities when homework is complete
Requirements
- Matric certificate (additional education or childcare training is a plus)
- Strong command of primary school subjects
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Previous experience working with children preferred
