Job Description
To develop the strategy and framework for Security Financial Operations and provide technical leadership to analysts to perform detailed analysis of cloud usage and data, develop intelligence, and report robust insights into more efficient use of cloud resources that drives optimisation and value creation across the SBG. Proactively engage with stakeholders and influence them to ensure optimal use of cloud resources. Act as the subject matter expert to collect data from various sources to perform analysis.
Qualifications
A Degree in Business Commerce, Information Technology
Experience Required:
5-7 years Practical experience in implementing projects and managing teams. Proven ability to work creatively and analytically. An ability to articulate and clearly communicate complex problems and solutions in a simple and logical manner.
8-10 years relevant experience in Technology Business Management and / or Security Financial Operations would be a key requirement for this role. Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to provide clarity to complex issues and synthesize large amounts of information. Perform detailed analysis and present findings and insights. Experience in using statistics to make forecasts and to provide projected figures to senior leaders within a financial services organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
Act as the subject matter expert to collect data from various sources to perform analysis utilising various visualisation and business intelligence tools to provide a clear understanding and insights to influence decision-making across the various Business Units, countries, regions and jurisdictions. Develop the strategy and framework for Cloud FinOps to perform detailed analysis of cloud usage and data, develop intelligence, and report robust insights into more efficient use of cloud resources that drives optimisation and value creation across the SBG.
Conduct investigations, gather, normalise and analyse data, report, and produce meaningful insights from large raw datasets within cloud billing and usage tools and other asset inventories as applicable to create deeper insights and influence leaders to ensure optimal use of cloud resources. Create visibility of cloud spend in the organisation, identify areas of optimisation and enable engineering teams to improve performance and efficiency and reduce cost.
Develop and maintain financial models to forecast and track cloud costs. Provide technical leadership to a team of analysts to perform specialist analysis of cloud usage and spend data, develop intelligence, and report robust insights into more efficient use of cloud resources that drives optimisation and value creation across the Standard Bank Group – all Business Units, Liberty, Africa Regions Countries and international entities.
Provide technical oversight, leadership, guidance and oversight to perform detailed analysis, identify opportunities and present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders to influence decision-making. Monitor cloud consumption to detect, investigate, and escalate anomalies and unplanned spikes in order to ensure sound financial control.
Develop and present various reports to senior stakeholders to enable informed decision-making and influence leaders across the Standard Bank Group. Monitor and track resource utilisation to execute relevant cloud commitment plans and to ensure continuous development across the platform organisation.
