Château Gâteaux is looking for an Assistant Store Manager at The Glen.
As an Assistant Store Manager you must be motivated and dynamic with excellent people skills, as well as meticulous attention to detail. You must be able to effectively and efficiently head the store, manage the resources of the staff and ensure that the quality of workmanship and hygiene systems are in place, whilst maximizing profitability.
WHAT THE ROLE ENTAILS
- Opening, Closing and Managing of the Store in absence of Store Manager.
- Great attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Good time management ability.
- Efficient, friendly, helpful proactive and professional
- High level of customer service
- Excellent problem solving skills
- Ability to function well in high pressure environment and high sense of urgency
- Personal effectiveness and a high level of self-management/self-motivated
- Accurate ordering of stock.
- Oversee general admin and reporting duties.
- Motivation of team.
HOW THE ROLE IS MEASURED
- Accurate financial and stock control
- Meeting deadlines on information required as well as placing of orders
- Maintain a high level of customer service in store
- Maintain a high level of Health and Hygiene Practices in store
- Staff Management and training
- Effective communication

Minimum Required Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12/Matric
- A tertiary qualification related to Food and Beverage.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in the Food and Beverage Industry in a management position
- Knowledge of GAAP system
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
- High level of numeracy
- Staff management experience
