Job Title: Bodyshop CO2 Weld Repair Operators x 2
Location: Gqeberha
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Complete the welding repairs job tasks in strict accordance with the SOS, welding repair standards, quality, quantity and on time.
· Complete a Daily Repair Document identifying areas of defects and the number of repairs.
· Identify the root causes of welding-related problems and implement effective solutions.
· Apply due care and diligence and abide by all safety rules, policies and procedures of the company and the Bodyshop.
· Carefully implement the safety operation procedures of the body shop process, and carry out daily inspection of tools and equipment as required before operation.
· Take good care of the tools and other facilities used and ensure the proper storage of all tools and equipment.
· Responsible for maintaining the daily onsite working environment and doing 5S work diligently at all times.
· Comply with all rules, policies, procedures, and Human Resources-related matters and conduct oneself following company rules.
· Comply with Management requirements and complete other temporary work arranged by the leader outside normal production in a timeous manner and accordance with the instructions given by Superiors.
· Be willing to work outside normal working hours when required to.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
· Matric/ Grade 12
· 8 years of work experience, of which at least 5 years within the Automotive industry
· Relevant Bodyshop experience
· CO2 Welding Training Certificate
COMPETENCIES:
· Have some experience in Body shop, proficient in the use of body shop welding and rework tools, hanging fixtures, and a good eye for identifying body-in-white related defects.
· Proficiency in Mig weld, Tig weld, and spot weld.
· Have a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit.
· An Individual who takes initiative and is proactive.
· Must be flexible to work additional hours at short notice due to operational requirements.
