Key Responsibilities:
- Full bookkeeping function to Trial Balance
- Daily capture and reconciliation of stock movements (parts & consumables)
- Process supplier invoices, customer receipts, and payments
- Reconcile bank, petty cash, and creditor accounts
- Assist with weekly and monthly stocktakes and variance reports
- Prepare VAT returns
- Support management with financial and stock-related reporting
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ bookkeeping experience (preferably in the automotive or mechanical services sector)
- Strong understanding of inventory and stock management principles
- Proficient in accounting and inventory software (Sage Business Cloud Accounting)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication and time-management skills
Advantageous:
- Experience in a multi-branch workshop or parts business
- Understanding of job costing and work-in-progress tracking
- Exposure to Sage Business Cloud with Advanced Inventory module
