Purpose of the Role
The Business Development Consultant is responsible for generating new business opportunities within the construction recruitment sector. This role focuses on identifying and engaging potential clients, understanding their recruitment needs, and providing tailored solutions to support their business objectives. The role requires a consultative sales approach, strong relationship management skills, and the ability to work independently to drive revenue growth.
The candidate will have at least 2-3 years of construction industry experience or at least a decent level of knowledge within the space.

Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify and target large construction companies, proactively approaching key decision-makers
- Develop and implement lead generation strategies to secure new business
- Conduct virtual meetings and presentations to demonstrate construction recruitment solutions
- Build and manage a pipeline of business opportunities
- Progress prospects through the sales cycle to build relationships and secure vacancies
- Maintain a strong personal brand and leverage platforms such as LinkedIn for outreach
- Engage with prospects via telephone, email, video, voice notes, social media, and direct mail
- Conduct all client interactions remotely
- Build long-term relationships with clients to understand their recruitment need
Market & Industry Awareness
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and business opportunities
- Stay informed about developments in the construction world
