Job Purpose:
You will be accountable for achieving the performance targets of the business unit, building relationships with key customers and suppliers to support the achievement of the strategic goals and targets, develop and implement strategic plans aligned to the Group strategy which support the ongoing growth, development and sustainability of the business unit, provide leadership to the business unit at the same time developing a pipeline of talent through coaching, training and performance management feedback.
Key Objectives:

Key Objectives:
- Lead, grow and develop the team responsible for the performance of the business unit.
- Support business growth in target markets through expansion, product introductions and securing new or additional resources and
- capabilities.
- Monitor monthly financial statistics using the business unit income statement and balance sheet. Focus on sales, gross margin,
- overheads, operating profit, stock holding and key ratios. Implement recovery plans should there be a reduction in sales volumes,
- unforeseen increase in overheads or profitability.
- Implement pricing structures which support the ongoing growth, profitability and sustainability of the business unit.
- Identify, propose and implement agreed new business opportunities which BMG could enter by analysing market trends and leveraging
- market information to maximise business opportunities.
- Determine the specific growth path by market considering the needs of the customers and capabilities offered.
- Evaluate sales performance and conduct sales training to staff in order to transferring skills and knowledge as required.
- Collaborate with Divisional, Contracts and Branch sales teams to develop pricing strategies
- Manage the performance of direct reports in accordance with the BMG performance management policy and procedure.
- Identify training and development needs, implementing plans to address requirements, as appropriate.
- Manage staff resources and productivity, maximising output through efficient use of resources, time planning and CRM.
- Deal with queries and escalated issues in timely manner, achieving resolution.
- Discipline staff in accordance with organizational codes and procedures so that improvement is shown.
- Facilitate communication through appropriate structures and systems
- Negotiate payment terms, shipping INCO terms, distribution pricing and where possible bulk deals or project pricing
- Matric / Grade 12
- Relevant Qualification NQF Level 5.
- Technical Qualification with Management course.
- MBA NQF Level 9 Advantageous
- Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in Sales/Marketing/Market Analysis/Pricing from within the industry
