Medwell is a company specialising in all levels of home healthcare, the management of healthcare services in retirement villages and the provision of medical equipment and products.
Medwell is looking to acquire the services of a Care & Marketing Coordinator to be based at their office in Bellville (Rosenpark). Currently a dual role, however, the position might evolve in a 100 % Care Coordinator position.
WORKING HOURS:
Mondays to Fridays 07:30 to 16:30 (office-based with visits to clients and referral partners). On-call after hours on rotation basis for patient referrals of certain projects.
MAIN PURPOSE:
- To ensure that the client/patient receives the most effective service through utilization of existing resources, support networks and/or the establishment of a new home nursing service in Retirement Village managed by Medwell , or the wider community. The service should be structured according to individual requirements.
- Marketing (face-to-face/direct or telephonic) of all Medwell's service offerings to medical practitioners and healthcare facilities (not contracted by Medwell).
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in a similar role (care coordination/marketing) is highly desirable; or in home healthcare and client services industry.
- Qualification or inclination to Social work/care beneficial.
- Tertiary qualification in (medical) administration beneficial.
- Valid driver's license and own reliable motor vehicle (for client visits).

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Enquiries & Follow-up
- respond to enquiries and follow-up timeously
2. Coordination of homebased care service
- arrange assessments of clients/patients & coordinate implementation of service
- liaise/negotiate with medical schemes for funding
- ensure relevant documentation is completed/signed/submitted/filed & systems updated
- coordinate implementation of single nursing procedures funded by medical schemes, or privately
- continuously liaise with representatives of clients/patients
- arrange and attend meetings with clients/representatives when required
- assist in the issuing of medical devices utilised for certain projects and ensure devices are in working condition
3. Marketing
- Implement local marketing strategies to attract new clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with referral sources (e.g., hospitals, rehab centers, medical practitioners, case managers, senior living communities).
- Represent the company at networking events and community events.
