Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and dynamic Centre Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations at Ballito Steps Convenience Centre – KwaZulu-Natal. The ideal candidate will take full responsibility for the property's maintenance, cleanliness, and security, ensuring vendors meet performance standards and tenants receive excellent service. The role requires an individual who resides nearby and can respond to emergency situations when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
· Build strong tenant and customer relations, address and resolve tenant concerns professionally and promptly.
· Conduct regular maintenance and inspections, including weekly roof and solar system checks.
· Ensure the security of the property and manage response to any security issues
· Oversee cleaning services and maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.
· Perform weekly water system checks to ensure regulatory compliance.
· Be on-call for emergencies, particularly over weekends and public holidays.
· Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless property operations
Requirements
- Proven experience in property or facilities management
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Physically capable of performing on-site inspections, including access to rooftops
- Must reside near the property and be available for emergency call-outs
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and task prioritization
- Own vehicle
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Working Hours:
- Monday to Friday: Standard working hours
- Saturday & Sunday: On standby for emergency call-outs
