Job Description
Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Ore accounting reconciliations.
- Makes pay / unpay economic recommendation.
- Ore flow statement for planning purposes.
- Remedial action to observed deviant practices.
- Deliverables on monthly report.
- Identify and disseminate best practices.
- Site specific standards.
- Land management proposals.
- Asset management proposals.
- Basis for contractual management.
- Ensures technical discipline integrity / audit.
- Ore accounting reconciliation for each shaft.
- Necessary skills development.
- Input into mining blueprint.
- Auditing of systems and outcomes and certification.
- Accountable for ore reserve model, validation, management including modifying factors.
- Accountable for ore reserve focus/ quality/ integrity and optimization.
- Disseminate best practices.
- Site specific standards.
- Change of land use.
- Audits compliance to SAMREC/PLATO & Group guidelines and standards.
- Monitoring of land management and take action if and when applicable.
- Contractual compliance.
- Monthly reporting as per standard.
This is role is at a band 6 Level and reporting to the Manager Technical Services Mining.
Qualifications
- National Diploma in Survey, National Higher Diploma or B-Tech, Masters in Science, Graduate Diploma in Engineering
- Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency
Experience, Knowledge and skills
- 8 years of which 3 years in a managerial position
- Massive mining experience will be advantageous
- Ability to manage large team of Surveyors
- Ability to operate in larger environment
- Computer literacy for role: MS Office. Advantageous: Deswick CAD, GIS and Survey related packages.
