Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain various filling machines (e.g., piston fillers, vacuum fillers, pressure fillers, and tube fillers) for cosmetic products.
- Set up filling lines according to product specifications, ensuring accuracy in volume, weight, and sealing.
- Perform in-process checks in line with ISO9001 and GMP requirements.
- Record production data, machine settings, and batch information as per SOPs and quality documentation standards.
- Assist with machine changeovers for different product types, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Conduct first-line troubleshooting and minor machine adjustments to maintain efficiency.
- Identify, report, and escalate any deviations, defects, or non-conformances.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of filling machines, tools, and the surrounding production area in compliance with GMP and hygiene standards.
- Follow Health & Safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with Quality Control, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure smooth workflow and product quality.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of ISO9001 quality standards and GMP requirements.
- Technical knowledge of operating and maintaining various cosmetic filling machines.
- High attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies or defects.
- Ability to follow SOPs, batch manufacturing records, and quality checklists accurately.
- Good problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced production environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent (NQF Level 4).
- 1–3 years’ experience in a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, or FMCG filling/production environment.
- Hands-on experience with different filling machines (manual, semi-automatic, and fully automatic).
- Prior knowledge of ISO9001 and GMP systems essential.
- Technical/mechanical aptitude advantageous.
- Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Comfortable working with machinery and production chemicals (training & PPE provided).
- Capable of lifting and moving stock and packaging materials within safe limits.

Pay: R7 500,00 - R10 000,00 per month
