To design, implement, and optimise DevOps practices to support scalable and secure systems within the organisation by building and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines, developing automation strategies, and ensuring system reliability through advanced monitoring and incident response processes.Drive innovation by identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies, enhancing efficiency, and reducing operational risks.
Mentor junior engineers and plays a key role in aligning DevOps practices with business objectives.
Are you someone who has an interest / experience in:
- Being accountable for the DevSecOps environment for our digital client experience platform.
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines
- Build completely automated platforms into both dedicated VMs as well as our containerised OpenShift (Kubernetes) environment
- Monitor and improve system performance and infrastructure health
- Collaborate with development teams to take our DevSecOps capability to the next level
- Develop and maintain scripts for system automation and process optimisation, reducing manual effort and
- Support security compliance efforts by configuring systems in line with the organisation's regulatory and governance standards.
- Participate in code reviews for deployment scripts to maintain consistency and adherence to best practices.
- Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of teamwork
- Demonstrate initiative in identifying process improvements and taking ownership of their implementation to contribute to a high-performance team.
- Promote a culture of inclusivity and knowledge sharing to empower team members and create a collaborative working environment.
You will be an ideal candidate if you:
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Preferred: Post-graduate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, complimented with advanced certifications in cloud technologies, and/or relevant certifications in DevOps practices
Experience and Skills
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in a similar environment, of which 2 to 3 years ideally at specialist level
- Knowledge and Skills in Jenkins (or the like), OpenShift, Docker, Nexus, BitBucket, SonarQube
- Advanced scripting and programming skills in languages.
- Strong knowledge of monitoring, logging, and incident reponse frameworks.
- Familiarity with database administration and network infrastructure management.
