Valmet is seeking a seasoned professional to take on the role of Director, Sales & Services for the Sub Equatorial & South Africa region. This position reports directly to the Vice President, MEIA Market Area and plays a critical role in shaping the future of our Flow Control business in the region.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a regional strategy to drive profitable and sustainable growth in the Sub Equatorial & South Africa market.
- Lead the Sub Equatorial & South Africa Sales & Services team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Manage the region’s full P&L, ensuring achievement of financial targets including orders, sales, and margins.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders, identifying opportunities to meet evolving equipment and service needs.
- Promote and uphold a strong Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) culture in all business activities.
What We’re Looking For
- A strategic and energetic leader with strong communication, technical, and business acumen.
- Proven ability to lead in a matrix organization, set clear goals, delegate effectively, and deliver results.
- Deep understanding of Flow Control technologies and customer environments, with a focus on delivering high-performance, value-driven solutions.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the agility to navigate complex, fast-changing markets.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 15 years of sales experience in the valves and automation industry.
- In-depth knowledge of the Flow Control sector, with experience in Oil & Gas, Refining & Petrochemicals, and EPC contractors strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in team leadership, strategic planning, and customer engagement.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to travel as required.
