VKB Milling (Pty) Ltd operates white maize mills in Mokopane and Louis Trichardt in Limpopo, and Mashishing in Mpumalanga, a wheat mill in Frankfort in the Free State as well as a maize mill in Christiana and a Wheat Mill in Modderrivier in the Northern Cape.

Job Description
Are you a hands-on logistics pro who knows how to get things moving — on time and on budget? We are looking for an organised, energetic, and experienced Distribution Manager to join our team at VKB Milling Frankfort.
You’ll be the go-to person for making sure our wheat and flour products get delivered safely, quickly, and efficiently across the country.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Daily planning and scheduling of VKB Milling transport needs with external Transport Contractors according to orders as well as plant and product availability.
- Daily correspondence with customers to ensure orders are captured timeously and accurately, and to ensure a high level of service delivery
- Scheduling drivers and fleet in advance to optimise loads, routes and personnel productivity.
- Working with the production department to ensure orders get out in time
- Improve on the efficiency of the fleet by optimal load scheduling and communication with Transport Contractors.
- Drive down cost by ensuring proper negotiation of transport costs and by keeping record of fleet efficiency, fuel consumption per vehicle.
- Communicate with external contractors to ensure the timeous delivery of feed.
- Ongoing communication with departments within the business, personnel, marketers, clients, drivers and contractors to give feedback with regards to deliveries.
- Weekly and monthly reporting to Business Unit Manager aa s well as Commercial Director
Skills and Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years Logistic Management experience within the FMCG environment.
- A tertiary qualification in Logistics- or Supply Chain Management would be preferable.
- Persuasive communication
