We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Enrolled Nurse with a robust nursing background to join our compassionate team. This role is based at our prestigious retirement villages and healthcare facilities, where you’ll play a key role in enhancing the well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Group Home Care Facilitator.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by a healthcare provider, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Monitor residents' health status, record vital signs, and update patient charts and electronic records accurately.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support and manage patient care plans.
- Respond promptly to emergency call-outs and provide immediate care when needed.
- Provide hands-on nursing care to residents, ensuring comfort and hygiene while promoting dignity and respect.
- Visit residents regularly to assess their health, provide care, and identify any additional assistance needed.
- Support the Registered Nurse in running the estate clinic.
- Educate residents and families on health care and disease prevention, tailoring communication to diverse needs.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance healthcare services and practices.
- Ensure the security and proper handling of medications and medical equipment.
- Assist in the development and execution of patient rehabilitation protocols and contribute to therapy sessions.
- Support administrative requirements, including participation in audits and compliance checks.
Requirements:
- Must be an Enrolled Nurse, registered with the relevant authorities.
- Fluency in Afrikaans and English is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a warm and empathetic demeanour.
- Personal reliable transportation.
- Passionate about advancing healthcare delivery and creating a nurturing environment for residents.
- Able to work Monday to Friday, with one Saturday shift per month.
