Financial Coordinator
The Financial Coordinator will oversee and manage the financial operations of the organisation, with a strong focus on debtors management and compliance with South African financial regulations. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and the implementation of sound financial controls. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the agricultural industry, where financial cycles are impacted by seasonality.

- Essential: A minimum of a NQF Level 7 in Accounting or similar qualification.
- Proven experience within the Agricultural Industry with exposure to seasonal financial cycles.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and accounting systems (Pastel, SAP, or similar).
- Comes with strong knowledge of VAT, and South African tax legislation.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Previous experience in managing small teams within a Financial Department.
- Valid driver’s license and own vehicle.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage the debtors function, including billing, collections, and reconciliations.
- Enforce strict credit control and minimise bad debt exposure.
- Monitor debtor ageing and drive reduction of debtor days.
- Build and maintain client relationships to improve collections.
- Oversee daily finance tasks: accounts payable, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Prepare accurate financial and debtor reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Monitor cash flow and ensure liquidity for operations.
- Maintain internal controls to comply with SARS, VAT, and regulations.
- Liaise with banks, auditors, and SARS on debtor and financial matters.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support operations.
- Identify and implement process improvements in debtors and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with all tax, VAT, and industry requirements.
