Purpose of position:
- To lead the creative strategy and execution of the fragrance and flavour departments.
- To manage projects, collaborate with perfumers and flavourists, interpret briefs and ensure final
- product aligns with brief requirements
- Based in CenturionRoles and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement fragrance and flavour development strategies, including setting the olfactive
- and gustatory vision for assigned categories and clients.
- Manage multiple complex briefs from creation to execution, ensuring timely delivery and alignment
with client expectations.
- Work closely with perfumers, flavourists, and other creative teams to develop innovative and
winning fragrance and flavour profiles.creative development.from the repertoire.effective product development.record same.suppliers and/or the the business factory.
- Translate client briefs into clear olfactive and gustatory guidelines for perfumers and flavourists.
- Stay informed about market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscapes to guide
- Identify opportunities for new fragrance and flavour development based on market trends and gaps
- Partner with market specialists, quality control, sales, and technical teams to ensure alignment and
- Evaluate fragrance and flavour submissions, manage stability trials, and troubleshooting with the lab.
- Mentor junior staff and share expertise to develop overall creative capabilities.
- Rationalise fragrance/flavour combinations and adjust formulations according to required RMC and
- Liaise with couriers for parcel collections and dispatch documentation.
- Provide monthly reports to EXCO on the Creative Centres’ activities.
- Set up training tests and samples for the Creative Centre and Quality Control teams.
- Manage raw materials expiry and re-assessments.
- Manage the raw materials and packaging materials storeroom including replenishments from
- Order monthly consumables for the Creative Centre.
Requirements & Skills:
- Degree in related fields such as Chemistry, Food Science or Perfumery required.
- Related qualification in Management will be advantageous.
- Extensive experience in the Fragrance and Flavour industry with a strong understanding of creative
- development processes.
- Leadership skills.
- Fragrance and Flavour evaluation, olfactive and gustatory knowledge and skills.
- Understanding of the Fragrance and Flavour market will be advantageous.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively present ideas and
influence stakeholders.solutions.quality control and sales.
- Strong creative vision and the ability to translate market data into innovative fragrance and flavour
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams, including perfumers, flavourists, market specialists,
- Ability to identify and resolve technical challenges related to fragrance and flavour development.
