Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a General Manager located at MERTIA Restaurant in Stellenbosch. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff and ensuring guest service levels. The General Manager will also be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, handling inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Experience in hospitality management
- Financial management skills, including budgeting and financial record maintenance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Basic knowledge of wine and beverage service
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with inventory management and supplier coordination
- Relevant experience in a similar role is highly desirable
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: R25 000,00 - R45 000,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Stellenbosch, Western Cape (Stellenbosch, Cape Winelands): Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
