- The handyman job covers a variety of duties that involve fixing and repairing of things both indoor and outdoor in the organization to maintain the infrastructure of the building. This involves general maintenance, orderliness, and cleanliness in the organization to ensure that the facility and equipment in the building are in good functional condition for human utilization. The handyman sees to it that objects and facilities, such as furniture, equipment and stationery are cleared out of the way in order not to obstruct movement of residents, staff and visitors.
- The Gardener is responsible for maintaining the grounds, including lawns, gardens and pathways, ensuring a pleasant and safe outdoor environment for the residents, visitors and staff. Responsible for the overall care and maintenance of grounds. The gardens are a very important part of our residents’ lives, and it is important that you are willing to interact with residents and involve them, where possible, with the gardening activities.
- Fix doors in the organization and change the locks if they are in poor conditions
- Carry out carpentry works by fixing furniture
- Repair electrical gadgets
- Repair plumbing appliances.
- Carry out flooring works
- Troubleshoot general problems
- Repair and replace general hardware
- Remove stains and paint building when necessary
- Attend to members of staff promptly when called upon
- Keeping good records of expenses made on the repair and purchase of office equipment, and presenting them upon request by management
- Carry out inspections on a regular basis in order to avoid casualties that may arise from sudden malfunctioning of facilities
- Informing the maintenance officer or management where applicable about equipment that need to be replaced and ordering of new equipment.
