Role: Head Hostess / Assistant floor manager

Location: Atlantic Seaboard - Sea Point
In this duel role as Head Hostess/ Assistant floor manager you'll be the first point of contact for our guests and setting the tone for a memorable dining experience. You'll work closely with our team to ensure seamless service and create a warm welcome for every guest.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests, managing reservations and waitlists efficiently.
- Manage the flow of guests, ensuring that tables are turned promptly, and guests are seated in a timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations, waitlists, and table assignments.
- Communicate effectively with the service team to ensure that guests' needs are met.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding to guest inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
Daily Tasks
- Manage the reservation book, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Greet and welcome guests, offering menus and escorting them to their tables.
- Manage the waitlist, communicating wait times and seating guests in a timely manner.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the hostess stand and surrounding areas.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a seamless experience for all guests.
Additional Responsibilities
- Handle phone calls, responding to inquiries and taking reservations in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with special requests, such as birthday celebrations or special occasions, to create a memorable experience for our guests.
- Work with the service team to ensure that guests' needs are met and that their experience is exceptional.
- Maintain knowledge of the restaurant's menu, specials, and promotions to provide informed recommendations to guests.
