Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough cleaning and tidying of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to the highest standards.
- Manage laundry, including washing, ironing, and folding of linen and guest clothing.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and guest amenities, ensuring adequate stock levels.
- Report any maintenance issues or damages promptly.
- Adhere strictly to health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
- Assist with guest requests and ensure a comfortable and welcoming environment.
- Potentially assist with light meal preparation if required (depending on the establishment).
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Housekeeper in a hotel or guest house environment.
- Minimum education: Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness and organisation.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and possesses a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Must be willing to live on-site (accommodation provided).
- Preference will be given to candidates with an understanding of hospitality service.
