Comply with legislation’s & Bylaws relating to the infection prevention & control portfolio & waste management (HCRW) Chair of the Infection Control committee meetings monthly - Link nurses Member of the Antibiotic stewardship forum Investigation of all Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) Compile & Implement disease outbreak interventions Review infection control practices in the hospital, simplify and streamline processes Assist compiling, Implementation & compliance monitoring of IPC policies & work procedures Laboratory surveillance & identifying risks organisms Reporting of notifiable diseases to the relevant authorities Implementation & compliance monitoring of the relevant best care always bundle Waste management operational functions Conduct and manage compliance of internal and external audits Provide inhouse training needs in the abovementioned portfolio SANC registration as a registered nurse Infection Prevention & Control Qualification (certificate/ diploma/ experience) Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role Excellent communication skills Excellent interpersonal, organisational and problem-solving skills Commitment to initiate and implement Infection prevention & control improvement programmes.
