Job Description
GWK, part of the VKB Group, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Irrigation Manager to drive growth and innovation in our Irrigation division across the Northern Cape and parts of the Eastern Cape.
This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on building strong customer relationships, developing high-performing teams, and delivering practical, future-focused irrigation solutions that help farmers succeed.

Requirements
- Minimum qualification of Grade 12 (SABI Design Certification recommended)
- A Degree in the relevant field will be a strong advantage
- 10+ years’ experience leading a team in the agricultural space with specific preference to irrigation.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in both English and Afrikaans.
- A willingness to travel extensively across regions.
- Strong business acumen, with the ability to analyze data and implement best practices.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead growth: Drive sales, grow revenue, and ensure branches are stocked and prepared to meet customer demand.
- Strengthen relationships: Build long-term partnerships with new and existing farmers, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
- Innovate & expand: Design, plan, and implement comprehensive irrigation solutions while identifying opportunities to expand into new markets.
- Inspire teams: Lead and develop a high-performing sales team with a focus on results, growth, and professional development.
- Represent GWK: Be the face of our irrigation division at farmer’s days, society meetings, and other agricultural events, positioning GWK as a trusted leader in the sector.
Skills Required
- Sales and team leadership in agriculture (with irrigation expertise preferred).
- Strong data analysis and proven ability to drive growth, expansion, and profitability.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building with customers.
- Team development and performance management.
- Deep knowledge of inventory management, sales metrics, and best practices within agricultural regulations.
