The successful incumbent will be responsible for, but not limited to:
· To maintain an efficient F&B operation in respect of quality of food and beverage and service while maximising revenues.
· Assist with the management and oversight of the daily operation of the restaurant, bar and
banqueting departments
· Assist with the controlling of costs and achieving set margins
· Ensuring guest comment results meet or exceed the group average for all F&B attributes
measured.
· Ensuring that the required F&B procedures, operational and administrative systems and controls are in place and followed, and that the correct cash-up procedure is followed and adhered to
· Assist with the controlling of restaurant, bar and banqueting operating equipment.
· Regular operating stock and operating equipment stock takes are conducted and variance reports reconciled.
· Accurate compilation of all required F&B reports and handovers, ensuring that it is timeously
distributed to the relevant personnel concerned.
· Assist with staffing levels and roster maintenance to meet operational requirements and within budgeted parameters.
· Adherence to labour laws, application of discipline, grievance handling and employee
communications.
· Assist with the facilitation and the development of staff through the training plan.
The following are the requirements:
· Must have Gr. 12 or equal qualification
· Previous experience in an F&B or hospitality environment is desirable
· Lift heavy objects for time to time
· Able to work shifts & overtime as required
· Strong administration skills
· Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer knowledge
· Cleaning chemical knowledge
· Trustworthy and reliable with sober habits
· Communicate at Gr.12/higher level (verbal & written)
· Leadership & training skills
· Accurate under pressure & time management skills
· Valid SA ID
