Duties will include:
- Supervise the factory floor employees ensuring that the production floor runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Assist the production employees, by guiding and having a hands-on approach.
- Ensure products meet the required standard. Carry out timely inspections investigate discrepancies and report accordingly.
- Management and limitation of damaged stock and materials.
- Spot checking and reporting on a daily basis.
- Management of staff hours, time & attendance where required.
- Scheduling of staff to ensure maximum productivity - in relation with relevant manager/supervisor.
- Management and scheduling of staffing per machine and/or supervising of allocation
- Ensure efficient and accurate packaging of stock for customers.
- Maintain safe work environment in the factory.
- Ensure compliance with policies & procedures, including all health, safety and food safety requirements. As communicated.
- Ensure production employees are made aware and kept up to date with any changes from senior management and necessary documentation is completed with regards to this.
- Ensure implementation of changes on the production floor is carried out.
- Ensure housekeeping is to the required standard.
- Ensure that you discipline staff- minor and major incidents. From issuing verbal warning to Disciplinary hearings. (under supervision).
- Following through instructions of senior management/supervisor.
- Carry out weekly production schedule.
- Reporting and logging of all faults with regards to machinery and production to middle and upper management/supervisors immediately.
- Attending all production and management meetings as and when required.
- Follow up and follow through of all decisions made and instructions given in formal and informal meeting from specified line manager and senior management.
- Ensure weekly stock take of freezer and/or goods relating to your area of production to ensure no discrepancies or shortage occurs.
- Please note experience in relevant field is required
- Technical and mechanical skills are advantageous, but not necessarily required.

Pay: R8 000,00 - R9 000,00 per month
