Purpose of the position
Based in our vibrant Cape Town office, and targeting the EMEA market, this is a great opportunity to be ‘in at the start’, as we create an internal sales development capability at VOSS.
We are looking for an energised and engaged Enterprise Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our growing Sales & Marketing team. This role will work on both qualified inbound leads and outbound campaigns, to develop initial meetings for the business. This role will support an experienced sales team giving scope for a variety of learning and mentoring opportunities.
Training will be a combination of sales, product and marketing onboarding and the role will be well supported by sales, marketing and operations management. There is plenty of scope to grow with this role and develop skills and responsibility within the VOSS organisation, in time.
To succeed in the role, you will need:
- Carry out lead nurturing and qualification activities leveraging a contact database, prospecting processes, and a wealth of supporting collateral.
- Conduct research to develop target account contact information and account intelligence to generate an understanding of the potential prospect needs and requirements.
- Run focused prospect outreach campaigns aimed at expanding awareness of VOSS and the value add of our solutions.
- Assess prospect needs and requirements against VOSS offerings.
- Achieve qualified meeting goals through both outbound prospecting and conversion of inbound leads.
- Interface with sales account managers to penetrate targeted accounts and identify sales opportunities.
- Have an understanding of the VOSS product and solution offerings to be able to competently convey the VOSS value proposition to different levels of prospect contacts including senior and C-level.
- Maintain high performance against meeting generation metrics using call, email and social media tactics with adherence to our chosen prospecting platform and governance.
- Initiate and maintain documentation such as briefing and meeting notes together with accurate entries and process implementation within the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Regular reporting of activity to Sales and Marketing colleagues on target prospects, meaningful interactions, initial calls scheduled and completed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years SDR experience
- Prior experience working with EMEA prospects
- Excellent communication skills, good English language skills, written and verbal
- Relationship building or selling experience is an advantage
- Good working knowledge and experience using AI
- Understanding of multiple industries and how they function
- Energy, passion and a positive outlook with the ability to learn quickly
- Ability to Manage your time and complete tasks
- Professional persistence, the ability to make a compelling introduction, “think on your feet”, identify clients pain points and handle objections are critical
- Organised with a results-oriented self-starter attitude
- Working knowledge of MS Office applications, Pardot, Salesforce.com, LinkedIn, apollo or Sales Navigator would be ideal
