ADVERT FOR VACANCY: LOCUM PHYSIOTHERAPIST
Mitchells Plain Transitional Care Facility is situated on the Lentegeur Psychiatric Hospital premises in Lentegeur, Mitchell's Plain. The facility has 148 beds, responsible for the rehabilitation of patients, wound care, palliative and convalescent care.
AHC is inviting you to apply for a vacant position which will be a locum contract.
All Professional staff should be registered with HPCSA and submit proof.
Requirements:
- BSc in Physiotherapy
- Up to date registration with HPCSA
Job requirements:
- Manage case load of patients
- Provide timely comprehensive assessment of all patients
- Provide functional treatment goals and management plan for each patient
- Review and adapt management plan
- Management of therapy assistant staff(RCW)
- Management of student affairs
- Management of walking aids within the wards as well as ordering of stock from referring institutions
- Provide training and development for staff
- Provide training to all families throughout the length of stay
- Provide continuous education to patients, families and staff
- Work as part of an MDT, providing feedback and input during ward rounds, morning handover as well as meetings.
Personal requirements:
- Be energetic and have a passion for therapeutic care
- Be comfortable with the in-patient environment, treating males and females
- Be confident, self-managing, focused and dedicated to furthering the goals of the facility
- Be able to adapt to various situations
- Be able to work independently and in a team.
