Marketing and ISP Liaison

Octotel is Cape Town’s largest Open Access Network focused on both Fibre To The Home (FTTH) and Business (FTTB). Our fibre is accessible to more than 350,000 homes and businesses in the Cape Town area. Octotel offers a choice of services from over 65 of the country’s leading Internet Service Providers.

The Marketing Administrator is responsible for the following:

Administration

● Assisting with incoming email and telephone queries.

● Resolving customer complaints as well as executing follow-ups where necessary.

● Helping to create, maintain and update promotions and marketing databases as required.

● Collecting and collating data from market research surveys in new areas.

Marketing Merchandise Management

● Collecting promotional material and transporting marketing material to promotions teams in planned areas.

● Packing and sorting all marketing material in the office and ensuring that all stock is replenished on the shelves as well as ensuring the office space (marketing area) is neat and tidy at all times.

● Preparing and distribution of the required marketing material for all new Access Builds weekly.

● Assisting in the sourcing of quotations and final production of branded items such as stationery, merchandise, flyers, brochures and all exhibition-related material.

● Recording and tracking of all marketing stock and ensuring, along with relevant stakeholders, that all stock is ordered in advance.

Marketing Activations

● Setting up and coordinating all marketing material for special events, activations and meetings from planning phase to clean-up with the assistance of the marketing team.

● Documenting activities by taking pictures which will be used for social media purposes.

Research

● Conduct research to devise innovative and improved marketing strategies for brand promotion as well as any other research that may be required.

Stakeholder engagement

● Engaging with ISP’s in planning and execution of activations.

● Communication with relevant internal stakeholders.

● And any other reasonable task.

Leadership & Management

● Manage social media platforms including network notices etc.

● Reporting as required my management

● Complies with company structure and reporting lines

● Ensures that the company demonstrates compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and ethical standards e.g. POPI act etc.

● Portray integrity and initiative with good problem-solving abilities

● Ensure concerns or escalations are addressed appropriately

● Ensure that management is kept informed of any concerns and/or escalations

Corporate Social Responsibility & Community Engagement

Requirements:

● Tertiary level qualification in Public Relations, Marketing or similar and/or

● At least 2 years' experience in Marketing Activations/Marketing Promotions environment

● A minimum of 1 year in an administrative capacity.

● Experience in designing Advertisements and/or Flyers.

● Excellent corporate communication skills.

● Good computer literacy skills

● Willing to work on weekends

● Valid Driver's License

● Exposure to the Fibre Network Operator (FNO) or Internet Service Provider (ISP) industries.
