Job Description
RCL FOODS is searching for a Material Replenishment Planner to join the Groceries Division. The role will be based in Randfontein, Gauteng and will report into the MRP Supervisor/Lead.
The Material Replenishment Planner is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of raw materials, components, and packaging to support production schedules and customer demand. This role manages inventory levels, monitors supplier performance, and balances cost efficiency with service excellence.
Duties & Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and manage material replenishment requirements to support production and demand forecasts.
Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability while avoiding excess or obsolescence.
Create and maintain material replenishment plans using ERP/MRP systems.
Collaborate with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules, resolve shortages, and address supply disruptions.
Work closely with sourcing, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth material flow.
Track, analyse, and report key supply metrics such as stock-outs, lead times, supplier forecast accuracy supplier reliability, etc.
Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply planning and material availability processes.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.
2–5 years’ experience in material planning, supply planning, or inventory management (manufacturing/FMCG/industrial preferred).
Proficiency with ERP/MRP systems (Syspro/FlowCentric).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
