Communica, a leader in electronic components, test equipment, tools, and home automation solutions, is looking for a dynamic and tech-savvy Merchandiser (Customer Experience Consultant) to join our retail team.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about electronics and automation, who enjoys hands-on setup, engaging with customers, and enhancing the in-store experience.
- Technical knowledge of electronics, smart home products, and automation systems (e.g., Sonoff, Raspberry Pi, Arduino, Zigbee, Z-Wave).
- Experience in retail, merchandising, or customer-facing roles.
- Ability to set up and demonstrate electronic products and automation displays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-first mindset.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with the store manager and retail team.
- Organized and able to manage time and tasks efficiently.
- Matric required; technical training or certifications in electronics is an advantage
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain interactive electronic product demos in-store.
- Liaise with the store manager and team to support the visual appeal and functionality of the showroom floor.
- Assist with product merchandising, ensuring displays are clean, engaging, and aligned with brand standards.
- Engage with walk-in customers, providing technical product advice and live demonstrations.
- Showcase new technology, automation solutions, and value-added features to improve the customer shopping experience.
- Assist with stock placement, display changes, and promotional setups.
- Report on demo feedback, customer interests, and in-store technical needs.

Pay: R5 600,00 - R6 000,00 per month
