Personal Care Assistant

As a Personal care assistant (PCA) at Lyell House on the West Coast, your work will have a tangible impact every day. Whether your interests lie in mountain biking, hiking, or delving into the area's rich history, the West Coast has something exceptional to offer. Your Role as PCA will be to encourage and maintain the standard of activities of living for the residents of Lyell House. Your ability to communication and use of interpersonal skills will be essential in building strong working relationships with residents, their families and staff. 

You will support the Registered Nurse (RN) in delivering high quality care and service, ensuring dignity and care are at the forefront of our service. You will be supported by a Clinical nurse consultant (CNC), the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), RN's and other PCA's. 

Lyell House is part of the West Coast District Hospital that houses a variety of different services to support Queenstown and the surrounding communities. This includes Emergency Care, an inpatient ward, and visiting services such as Radiology, Diabetic Clinics, Physiotherapy, and Podiatry. Our community services also include Community Nursing, Home Help/Personal Care, and Home Maintenance. Join us and make a meaningful impact on the health and wellbeing of our community.

Details of appointments:

Multiple permanent full time and part time, shift worker (fully rotational) positions, working up to 76 hours per fortnight, commencing from a mutually agreed upon date. 

*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $63,110 to $66,049 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Salary Packaging:

You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
