This role is based in our EPD division in Roodepoort
What You Will Learn:
As a Pharmacovigilance Intern, you will be immersed in the world of drug safety, learning how to:
- Understand and support the local pharmacovigilance (PV) system and its documentation, including procedures, forms, and templates.
- Receive, record, and reconcile safety information in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Monitor safety data through literature reviews and health authority websites, and assist in preparing local safety reports and Risk Management Plans.
- Participate in the delivery of basic PV training to local staff.
- Manage PV documentation, including retention and archiving processes.
- Navigate regulatory requirements and interact with local health authorities under the guidance of experienced professionals.
- Complete essential training modules and gain exposure to global PV systems and tools.
✅ What We’re Looking For:
- A graduate in Life Sciences, Pharmacology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in the pharmaceutical industry or knowledge of local PV regulations is a plus, but not required. ( cannot have more than 1 year experience
- Strong attention to detail and a passion for learning.
- Basic computer literacy (Windows, MS Office).
- Good communication skills in English.
- A collaborative mindset and eagerness to work in a regulated environment.
