Step Into a Role That Makes an Impact! We’re seeking a Planning Manager (Customer & Deployment) to drive success NBL Head Office in Bryanston, Johannesburg. This role is designed to minimise costs and maximise service levels for stock deliveries to customers and AVI DCs. Streamline processes and enable informed Supply Chain decisions through analytics and reporting. Lead the outbound planning team, maintain strong relationships with customer DCs and logistics partners, manage daily 3rd-party transport, and track KPIs to drive continuous improvement.

Key Areas of Impact:
Supply Chain Analytics
- Identify improvement opportunities in supply chain processes
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement within supply chain
- End-to-end facilitation of improvement initiatives
Supply Chain Technology and Support
- Involvement in all SAP projects related to supply chain
- Involvement in Barnton Deployment modules and any other technology enablement
- Drive ERP master data to be updated, accurate and relevant
- Drive planning master data and update parameters for accuracy and relevance
People Management
- Review and assess individual performance agreements
- Provide training material for training
- Ensure appropriate staffing and processes are in place to allow for staff development, succession planning and collaborative teams.
- Train employees to possess technical skill set for their positions as well as cross-skilling to ensure backup for team members.
Primary Transport Management their outputs and their claims process
- Determine monthly key performance indicators with 3rd party transporters
- Manage outstanding claims older than 30 days
- Monthly Transport report
- Daily and weekly reconciliations
- Provide budget inputs
Customer and DC Order Management
- Drive customer ordering behaviour
- Fast and efficient resolution of queries to maintain service levels
- Maximise direct factory deliveries
- Ensure all loads are fully utilized
- Save logistics costs
- Optimise ordering quantities
Deployment planning
- Minimize stock-outs
- Maximise service levels
- Maximise direct factory deliveries
- Minimise stock write-offs
- Ensure no factories are stopped because of full feeder stores
- Ensure that the DC pallet, and receiving capacities are not exceeded
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
- Background of deployment and customer DC planning at least 10 years experience
- Experience managing teams
- Customer experience / MRP / DRP
- Manufacturing experience
- Process and systems experience
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:
- The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree Logistics / Supply Chain Mgt / Industrial Engineering
Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (Reporting, Pivot, Lookups)
- SAP Material Master (MM) Module, Sales Module, PO & Reporting
- Barnton Deployment
