Your Role
Objective: As a Product Manager – CASE, you will lead the strategic management of our product portfolio within the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants, and Elastomers segment. This includes driving profitability, ensuring reliable product supply, managing key supplier relationships, and identifying growth opportunities in collaboration with our principals. This is a high-impact role ideal for a commercially driven, technically strong individual with deep knowledge of the paint and coatings industry.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement market strategies for the CASE segment.
- Source and cost products competitively while ensuring supplier compliance and vendor rating execution.
- Negotiate volumes, pricing, and contracts with key suppliers.
- Drive exclusive supplier partnerships and implement pricing strategies to meet gross margin targets.
- Identify new supplier and product opportunities for strategic growth.
- Provide product expertise to sales teams and define core product/supplier combinations.
- Support procurement with accurate forecasts and inventory optimisation.
- Manage product performance, including slow movers and obsolete stock.
- Handle major product complaints and claims efficiently.
- Deliver internal and principal reporting.
- Conduct product performance reviews and maintain Good Housekeeping standards.
- Comply with all company SOPs and policies.

Experience
- 5–7 years’ experience in product management, sales or marketing, ideally in the paint, coatings, or chemical industry.
- Proven ability to manage complex supplier relationships and key accounts.
- Familiarity with SAP and CRM systems, and proficiency in MS Office.
- Strong understanding of pricing structures, logistics, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment preferred.
Education
- Matric essential.
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Science, or Chemical Engineering.
- SAPMA certification is advantageous.
