About The Role

As a Product Specialist (Asset Based Finance), you’ll be part of a team of self-motivated, high achieving sales professionals and you’ll drive WesBank Asset Based Finance’ full product offering to new Non-FNB clients in the Western Cape Metro region, and to provide client support from product perspective.

Successful candidate will be based in Willowbridge / Portside.

Are you someone who can:

• Manage costs / expenses within approved budget to achieve cost efficiencies

• Deliver exceptional service that exceeds customers’ expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions

• Cultivate and manage objective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, dealers and senior staff members

• Maintenance of expert knowledge on relevant legislative amendments industry best practices and provision of proactive advice and solutions to relevant stakeholders

• Translate strategies into actionable goals and execute relevant projects / initiatives aligned to strategic objectives with specific performance measures and control systems to track progress

• Implement and maintain sound business processes that minimizes WesBank & FNB risk and deliver quality requirements specifications.

• Explore markets for new business opportunities to expand and strengthen WesBank’s market position

• Facilitate the conversion of knowledge and ideas into new or improved products, processes, and services

• Responsible for own new business budget

• Create new opportunities, writing of credit

You will be an ideal candidate if you:

• BCom minimum qualification (Degree will be an advantage)

• 3+ years’ experience in banking (commercial)

• Services/Banking industry experience

• Knowledge and understanding of asset base finance product and ability to structure deals within that environment

• Ability to interpret financial statements

• Knowledge of Credit applications/ Banking Sector and Asset Based Finance

• Strong track record as highly performing sales individual, generally motivated for Sales (Hunting and New Business development)

• Analytical skills with attention to detail

• People management

• Must be self-sustainable, owner manager and able to work under pressure on your own.

• Good understanding of asset-based finance (ABF)

• General knowledge of financial and leasing including systems, applications, and banking practices

• Requires expert negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal

• Requires solid problem-solving skills.

• Analytical skills are required to determine client business needs and requirements.

• Ability to remain calm under various levels of pressure.

• Ability to show established track record.

• Requires the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management (internally/externally)

• Local and Industry knowledge.

• Travel is required (within the Western Cape region)
