The Occupational Health Nurse (OHN) will report directly to the Site Human Resources department with an indirect reporting/support line to the Regional Medical Health Systems Leadership. A Unique opportunity to manage the Medical Wellbeing Center within P&G.
The OHN is responsible for:
- Providing integrated occupational health services for the employees in alignment with the Medical Key Priorities, Health Systems Key Elements (HSKE), and site-specific goals and objectives.
- Collaborative ownership of Site Health Systems, Key Element Audit capability, delivering Health Services to employees. OHN manager role shall involve ongoing execution of key Health Services work systems for the site. This assignment is primarily a Monday through Friday dayshift role; however, the Occupational Health Nurse must be able to flex work hours to meet the needs of the business, be available to answer phone calls, answer emails/message chats and respond telephonically to emergencies on evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Plan, organize, and execute work priorities and responsibilities while working with key business partners to deliver Health Services and HSKE Audit capability. System ownership responsibilities may include the following: Medical Surveillance and Testing, Workers Compensation, Wellness/Vibrant Living, Ergonomics, EAP Referrals, FMLA Medical Certification, Confidentiality/Privacy, Health Care Cost Containment, Medical Case Management, Medical Records Management and Pandemic Medical Response. Work collaboratively with Human Resources (HR), Health, Safety, & Environmental (HS&E), P&G Legal, P&G Employee Relations, Risk, Leadership, and other teams to efficiently meet business objectives, provide prompt and competent occupational health nursing care, and serve as the medical subject matter expert.
- This person will also: provide leadership, direction, training, and support to the Medical Response Team; Manage and coordinate nurse’s schedule and activities in accordance with the business needs; perform administrative and daily tasks to deliver health systems operational excellence; lead programs and services delivering medical testing and training for site specific programs in accordance with standard operating procedures; assure compliance with health aspects and medical testing requirements of P&G Global and Ensure HSKE audit capability; Support and participate in various site assessments/audits to include Medical, Safety, Legal, Privacy, and Third Party assessments. Integrate with site businesses by participating in Site Health Needs Analysis, Site Risk Analysis, Occupational Health Management Plan and policy change decisions.
- Perform as a team member of the Human Resources Department and Site, participate in daily direction setting meetings (DDS). Attain/maintain current knowledge of site risks/hazards including chemical, biological, and physical; participate in Change Management/Chemical Clearance reviews and Overall Risk Assessments as the medical subject matter expert.
- Optimize health and well-being through health counselling/coaching, initiatives, and fitness for duty including return to work (RTW).
