We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Reservations Agent to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for guests and clients, handling booking requests, managing reservations, and ensuring a seamless and professional experience from enquiry to confirmation.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle incoming calls, emails and online booking requests in a courteous and professional manner
- Process and manage reservations accurately
- Provide guests with detailed information on availability, rates, services, and special offers
- Assist in upselling services, packages, or room upgrades to maximize revenue
- Liaise with internal departments to ensure special requests and requirements are communicated effectively
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, cancellations, and amendments
- Handle guest complaints or issues promptly and professionally, escalating where necessary
- Deliver excellent customer service while upholding company standards and policies
Requirements
- Previous experience in a reservations, or hospitality role (advantageous but not always necessary)
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a professional telephone manner
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with reservation systems (e.g., Property Management System (PMS), or similar)
- Customer-focused with a proactive and solution-driven approach
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays if required
