A restaurant on the Weskus in Jacobsaai is looking for a General Manager to join the team.
Basic requirements
- Relevant experience in a similar position (4 year minimum)
- Own transport non-negotiable
- Willing to relocate to Jacobsbaai or nearby
- Ability to speak and understand English and Afrikaans
- Understanding of Pilot system or system
- Computer literate in basic excel and word
- Hospitality accounting skills: Cash up, payroll, staff hours
- Human Resource knowledge & understanding
- Up to date health and safety industry requirements
Key responsibilities
- Lead a team of 30 plus staff in a busy 7 day a week operation serving breakfast lunch and dinner.
- Shape the front of house guest experience to ensure excellent customer experience
- Strong admin skills to ensure BOH operations
- Helping to create a unique and top-class hospitality experience
- Creating a consistent, disciplined and productive work environment for staff
- Open and informed communication with management
- Building a good relationships with locals, suppliers and industry partners
