Overview:
We're looking for a retail-savvy, high-energy individual to lead our client's on-the-ground marketing - someone who knows how to bring a brand to life physically. This role focuses on campaign execution and brand storytelling in and around our store environments, working closely with malls, influencers, store managers, and community partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute store launch events in collaboration with head office, mall partners & community partners (Local artist collabs, Brand collabs, DJ collabs, etc)
- Work with influencers and local brand ambassadors to amplify launches & campaigns - especially in township and university areas.
- Coordinate mall activations, outdoor promotions, community partnerships, and on-site content creation.
- Ensure store-level branding (signage, window displays, visual merchandising) aligns with broader brand & campaign strategy.
- Travel to launch locations across SA - primarily based in JHB but flexible for travel.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years experience in retail marketing, brand activations, or field marketing.
- Experience in visual merchandising / retail production experience - i.e. producing props / windows / vinyls / shelf talkers
- Strong understanding of brick & mortar dynamics, footfall generation, and event coordination - and clear on how it relates to digital.
- Organised, resourceful & well-networked in JHB - able to pull off activations on tight timelines and budgets.
- Confident working with suppliers, mall management, and internal teams.
- Social media fluency is a plus (content creation, community engagement, influencer management).
- Based in Johannesburg or surrounds.
