Position Summary
The Retail Supervisor plays a key role in supporting daily store operations by supervising sales floor activities, driving excellent customer service, assisting with sales targets, and ensuring the store meets operational standards. This role bridges the gap between sales staff and management, providing guidance, motivation, and support to the team.
Key Responsibilities 1. Customer Service & Sales
- Supervise daily sales floor operations to ensure exceptional customer service standards are maintained.
- Assist in communicating daily sales targets to team members, including Flexi staff and Learners.
- Monitor sales performance during shifts and provide real-time support to improve conversion.
- Encourage cross-selling and upselling among team members.
- Assist in building customer relationships and contributing to the customer database program.
2. Team Supervision
- Act as the first point of contact for Sales Assistants during shifts.
- Allocate tasks and ensure they are completed according to daily priorities.
- Provide on-the-floor coaching, guidance, and feedback to team members.
- Support new staff with basic training in sales, customer service, and store procedures.
- Report any staffing issues, performance concerns, or training needs to the Assistant Store Manager or Store Manager.
3. Inventory & Stock Support
- Assist with stock replenishment, floor moves, and product presentation.
- Participate in weekly stock counts and identify any stock discrepancies.
- Support shrinkage reduction by ensuring accurate stock handling.
- Assist with processing deliveries, tagging, and pricing stock as required.
4. Operations
- Ensure store cleanliness, change room readiness, and correct visual merchandising throughout shifts.
- Support cash-up procedures when required.
- Assist in monitoring compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Report maintenance or operational issues to management promptly.
