The Risk and Collections Manager at MAN Financial Services (South Africa) (RF) (PTY) LTD is responsible for managing the company’s credit risk exposure and overseeing the collections function to ensure optimal recovery of outstanding debts. This role involves developing risk mitigation strategies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and leading a team to achieve performance targets while maintaining customer relationships.
Duties:
- Develop and implement credit risk policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments on new and existing clients, including credit scoring and limit setting.
- Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks.
- Collaborate with underwriting and compliance teams to ensure sound credit practices.
- Prepare risk reports and present findings to senior management.
- Lead the collections team to recover outstanding debts efficiently and ethically.
- Design and execute collection strategies tailored to customer segments.
- Manage escalated accounts and negotiate repayment plans.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of collection activities and KPIs.
- Liaise with legal teams on litigation and recovery processes.
- Ensure adherence to relevant legislation (e.g., National Credit Act, POPIA, FICA).
- Maintain robust internal controls and audit readiness.
