Job Overview:
The SAP MM Consultant is responsible for managing and optimizing the Material Management processes within SAP. This includes overseeing procurement, inventory control, vendor management, and ensuring integration with other logistics and finance modules. The consultant will configure, implement, and support SAP MM functionalities to meet business objectives, streamline operations, and improve supply chain efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and maintain SAP MM modules (Purchasing, Inventory Management, Material Master, Vendor Master).
Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable SAP MM solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless logistics and supply chain operations.
Support SAP MM implementations, system upgrades, and enhancements.
Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, and resolve system issues.
Provide training and support to end-users and business stakeholders.
Monitor inventory levels and procurement cycles for efficiency and compliance.
Document configurations, business processes, and change logs accurately.
Ensure SAP MM integration with other modules such as SD, PP, and FI.
Stay current with SAP updates and industry best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong expertise in SAP MM module and its integration with SD, PP, and FI.
Proven experience in procurement, inventory management, and logistics processes.
Proficiency in SAP configuration, customization, and troubleshooting.
Solid understanding of business process analysis and SAP best practices.
Analytical thinking with effective problem-solving abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, IT, Business, or a related field.
SAP MM certification is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
Knowledge of Agile or Waterfall project methodologies.
Exposure to SAP Fiori and SAP BTP is a plus.
