Our client is a reputable and well-established audit and advisory firm based in Durban, serving a diverse portfolio of clients across various industries. They are seeking a qualified and experienced Senior Audit Manager to join their dynamic team and play a key role in managing audit engagements and leading their audit staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and finalise audit engagements, including budgets, resource allocation, and timelines.
- Prepare and review client deliverables such as Audit Strategy Memoranda, Completion Reports, Management Letters, and tax returns.
- Review full audit files to ensure compliance, quality, and timely sign-off.
- Propose and finalise audit opinions, including Key Audit Matters where applicable.
- Oversee team productivity, work allocation, performance management, mentoring, and technical guidance.
- Manage billing, WIP, debtor collections, and monitor performance against budgets.
- Drive business development, maintain strong client relationships, and contribute to Learning & Development initiatives.
- Assist in recruitment and act as a role model for organisational culture.
Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified CA(SA) with 2–5 years’ post-articles experience in an audit firm (non-negotiable).
- At least 1 year in a Senior Manager role with statutory audit experience (listed company audits essential; public sector advantageous).
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, and familiarity with JSE Listing Requirements.
- Skilled in team leadership, mentoring, and performance management.
- Excellent technical, analytical, planning, and organisational skills.
- Client-focused, results-driven, and able to work under pressure.
- Proficient in CaseWare.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: R50 000,00 - R80 000,00 per month
