FOR APPOINTMENT AT THE LEVEL OF SENIOR LECTURER
The candidate must hold a Doctoral degree in general or Applied Linguistics, with at least five years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution or seven years of relevant professional experience. Must have a minimum of five publications in accredited journals. A strong theoretical background in Linguistics is essential. Must possess strong administrative and workload management skills and the ability to deliver engaging and inspiring instruction.
FOR APPOINTMENT AT THE LEVEL OF LECTURER
The candidate must hold a Master of Arts degree in general or Applied Linguistics, with at least three years of teaching experience at a tertiary institution or five years of relevant professional experience. A strong theoretical foundation in Linguistics is essential. Publications in accredited journals will be an added advantage. The candidate should demonstrate the ability to manage workload effectively, possess strong administrative skills, and deliver engaging and inspiring instruction.
DUTIES
The candidate is expected to teach, develop and review curriculum and modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, supervise students at Honours, Master’s, and PhD levels, participate in research and community engagement activities, and contribute actively to the overall attainment of the strategic objectives of the university.
